Zoo Field Trip
The children are so
excited about our field trip to the Atlanta Zoo on Tuesday. Please try to
arrive at the zoo by 9:45. We will be waiting for you with your tickets. I
have enclosed directions and my phone number at the bottom in case you need to
contact me on the way to the zoo. The children may dress down for the zoo.
Please watch the weather and dress accordingly. It looks like it should
be in the 50’s for Tuesday. You may bring a sack lunch or purchase a
lunch for you and your child at one of the various lunch counters. I am
planning on leaving the zoo around 1:30 to return to the school. You and your
child may stay later and tour the zoo, if you wish. We appreciate everyone for
taking the time to attend this fabulous field trip. If you have any further
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Directions
to the Atlanta Zoo
Off Interstate 75/85, take Exit 246 (Fulton Street) and drive east on Fulton
Street. Turn right at Capitol Avenue. Follow Capitol to first light, turn left
on Georgia Avenue. Georgia Avenue ends at the Cherokee Avenue lot.
BRIDGING CEREMONY—The kindergarten class will celebrate “Bridging Into The First Grade” on the last day of school. (Graduation for kindergarten) Prek3—7th grade Honors Chapel will begin at 8:05 a.m. We recommend for parents and guests to stay for chapel. As soon as the Pre-k3—7th grade Honors is over, the Bridging Ceremony will begin. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a reception held for the kindergarten class and guests. The kindergarten class will visit the first grade for 15 minutes and then join their families at the reception. I am so proud of our kindergarten students. They have been working very hard preparing for first grade. We will start practicing for Bridging when we return from Spring Break.
