The 4th and 5th grade students of SGES are working together to host the first annual Color for a Cure Fun Run.
What: SGES COLOR FOR A CURE - a “colorful” fun run. All proceeds will go to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in an effort to help find a cure for Type I diabetes.
When: Friday, May 1st at 2:30pm. (Please arrive by 2:15)
Where: SGES Nature Trail
Who: SGES students, family, and friends -Students who do not wish to participate in the fun run will cheer on students at the finish line.
Registration Cost: $ 12 per person *Cost includes a t-shirt that will be worn during the fun run. *All proceeds will be donated to JDRF.
*Please sign up on Formstack. If registered by Wednesday, April 22nd at 4:00PM, you will be guaranteed a t-shirt for run day. *If registered after this date, you may participate and bring your own white t-shirt.

Zoo Field Trip Next Tuesday, April 28th
The children are so excited about our field trip to the Atlanta Zoo next Tuesday. Please try to arrive at the zoo by 9:45. We will be waiting for you with your tickets. I have enclosed directions and my phone number at the bottom in case you need to contact me on the way to the zoo. The children may dress down for the zoo. Please watch the weather and dress accordingly. You may bring a sack lunch or purchase a lunch for you and your child at one of the various lunch counters. I am planning on leaving the zoo around 1:30 to return to the school. You and your child may stay later and tour the zoo, if you wish. We appreciate everyone for taking the time to attend this fabulous field trip. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Off Interstate 75/85, take Exit 246 (Fulton Street) and drive east on Fulton Street. Turn right at Capitol Avenue. Follow Capitol to first light, turn left on Georgia Avenue. Georgia Avenue ends at the Cherokee Avenue lot. Parking is FREE.
